Because of the nature on the Internet online ordering, your purchase from Laptop Adapter.Com acknowledges that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

Privacy:

This site is hosted by Yahoo! Store. Yahoo! hosts the store pages, ordering system, and order data. Yahoo! automatically collects order information but may only use this information in the aggregate. Shipping:
Shipping charges are calculated automatically by zip code corresponding to UPS rate charts. Orders over $100.00 will be charged insurance. Customers will be notified if any additional freight charges are to be incurred. In general orders are processed the business day received and shipped within 2 business days. (Declined or invalid Credit Cards or incorrect shipping information may delay shipping on orders.)

Terms:
All sales within the State of New York shall be charged New York State Sales Tax. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover as well as checks drawn on a US Bank. When paying by credit card if billing address and ship to address are different, we may ask you to get authorization from your credit card provider. This is for your protection. Prepayment by check requires 5 business days to clear. There will be a $25.00 return check fee charged.

Return/Refund Policy:

Please note there is a 15% restocking fee on all returned orders. Before returning any product, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by E-mail or Telephone. RMA number will be good for 10 days. NO returns, of any type, will be accepted without an RMA number. All products returned must be properly packaged and have the RMA number prominently displayed on the shipping label, including all original packing materials, manuals, and software (if applicable), and shipped freight pre-paid. No COD’S will be accepted. Some limitations and restrictions apply. Used batteries and batteries sold with refurbished notebooks carry no warranty unless specified other-wise. All claims for defective merchandise must be made within 30 day warranty period. We will fix or replace at our discretion. There will be no refund on shipping charges. If we receive returned product with any physical damage there will be no refund. No returns made after 7 days from date on invoice.
 

Warranties and Liability:

All used laptops below 300MHz Come with a 30 day Warranty.  All used laptops 300MHz or above Come with a 60 day Warranty.  The warranty covers defect in workmanship and and hardware functionality.  Software is warranted solely by the manufacturer of the software title. Viruses and spyware are never covered by warranty as the seller has completely wiped and reloaded any operating system software prior to any sale of laptops. The seller warrants to the buyer that the product(s) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship as stated on your invoice from the date of purchase. In accordance with terms and conditions of this limited warranty, the seller will either repair of replace any product, which is shown to be defective.

BATTERIES ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

ALL SYSTEMS ARE WIPED CLEANED AMD RELOADED.  VIRUSES ACQUIRED BY CUSTOMER ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

ABUSE SUCH AS BREAKING A SCREEN AND DAMAGE DUE TO WATER ARE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY

Any claim by the Buyer which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to correspond with specifications shall (whether or not delivery is refused by the Buyer) be notified to the Seller within 2 days from the date of delivery or (where the defect or failure was not apparent upon reasonable inspection) within a reasonable time after discovery of the defect or failure. If delivery is not refused, and the Buyer does not notify the Seller accordingly, the Buyer shall not be entitled to reject the Goods and the Seller shall have no liability for such defect or failure, and the Buyer shall be bound to pay the price as if the Goods had been delivered in accordance with the Contract.

Where any valid claim in respect of any of the Goods which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to meet specification is notified to the Seller in accordance with these Conditions the Seller shall be entitled to replace the Goods (or the parts in question) free of charge or, at the Seller's sole discretion, refund to the Buyer the price of the Goods (or a proportionate part of the price), but the Seller shall have no further liability to the Buyer.

Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the Seller's negligence, the Seller shall not be liable to the Buyer by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the Contract, for any consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise), costs, expenses, or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (and whether caused by negligence of the Seller, its employees or agents or otherwise), which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the Goods or their use or resale by the Buyer, except as expressly provided in these Conditions.

Customer must remove all components that Customer has installed in the product and must securely pack the product in its original packaging. ALL warranty stickers must be sealed with no warranty stickers broken or peeled. ALL miscellaneous materials, such as manuals, accessories, cables, and other peripherals, MUST be included. If any of these materials are missing, the RMA will not be processed until these items are obtain. The authorization number MUST be on the shipping label on the carton. Items that do not have an RMA number on the shipping label will not be accepted or processed. The seller will not be responsible for the loss of any data, it is the sole responability of the customer to backup all information prior to dispatch of the machine.
